Ever since September of 2001 when this web site went on the Internet, I have received very flattering and very persistent requests from fans of The Exceptions, Aorta and Lovecraft, to make their recordings available on CD. Initially I was against the idea, but recently I finally succumbed to the pressure. Digging up and listening to these sonic relics was a shock to my system, considering the very different musical paths I have taken since they were recorded all those years ago; but (after CPR) I soon got over it and was able to move forward.

Some of these old records were created under severe time restraints due to low budgets, and their final quality was affected accordingly. Be that as it may, I am pleased to announce the availability of four CDs from the above named groups through UTT Productions (an obscure record company located deep in the heart of Siberia). All four re-releases have been digitally enhanced, and they now actually sound pretty good. If you are a fan of any of these groups from my distant past, I'm sure that you will appreciate having one or more of these rare recordings. Here is the fossil collection.

The Exceptions Collection

The Exceptions Collection

"The Exceptions Collection," featuring Peter Cetera. All songs originally recorded in monaural using various studios throughout Chicago, and some songs were recorded in only an hour or two, due to shoestring budgets. These recordings were made between 1964 and 1967. For this release they have been digitally re-mastered with simulated stereo sound. Although a "must have" for any Peter Cetera and/or Exceptions fan, most would no doubt agree that these recordings fall far short of capturing the essence of what the band delivered live. This CD is being offered in response to numerous requests from those who remember those live performances, as well as from the many who are just curious.
